Bob Harris Presents... Danny & the Champs
Date submitted: 08 Apr 2023 01:59 PM

Just a note on a sunny day to let you know about a special night this evening-
Bob Harris presents... Danny & the Champions of the World at the North Wall Arts Centre. As I'm sure you know both "Whispering" Bob and Danny the Champ are fixtures at TRUCK - indeed, both of them use Hill Farm, Steventon as their home base.

Bob Harris ("one of the greats of British contemporary music broadcasting and an independent champion of great music" - Radio Times) will be speaking to the audience for the first part of the evening, and then will introduce his chosen band Danny and the Champions for a live set. This will be followed by a question and answer session. Thu 8th Apr 10 at 7:30pm at the North Wall Arts Centre - call 01865 319450 for  tickets.

Bob will be back with the Bob Harris Presents... stage on the Sunday at TRUCK this year, with ballsy US country favourite ELIZABETH COOK confirmed to appear on his stage, alongside the likes of  MEW, FUTURE OF THE LEFT, DJ ZINC + MS DYNAMITE, EGYPTIAN HIP HOP, STORNOWAY, LOS CAMPESINOS! and LAU elsewhere during the festival, with many, many more names to be added soon. TRUCK 13 is the weekend of July 24th & 25th.

Meanwhile, Danny & the Champions of the World join FRANK TURNER, TUNNG, FIONN REGAN, MARTIN SIMPSON, THE UNTHANKS and the just-added JALI FILY CISSOKHO at the third and best-yet WOOD festival which takes place at Braziers Park, May 21-23rd.

Tickets for both TRUCK and WOOD are available now, or why not save some pounds and get a SUPERTRUCKER ticket giving you entry to both? Click HERE or head to one of our shop outlets.

It's TRUCK 13, so the festival is now a teenager: we've reduced the price of a weekend pass for 13-17s to £60. There is also additional entertainment on the friday night (23rd July) for those who wish to purchase a Friday night ticket and pitch their tent early.

Right, now I'm going to lie on the grass and get some vitamin D...
