CYCLE TO WOOD!
Oxford to Wood
Leaves from Oxford Cycle Workshop, Magdalen Road Oxford at 4 pm, Friday, May 21, 2023
Arrives about 2 hours later with plenty of daylight left for you to put up your tent!
What's stopping you?
#1 I can't carry my tent and all my stuff on my bike.
Don't worry. Just meet up at the Oxford Cycle Workshop at 4 pm on Friday, May 21 and a van will be there to pick up your heavy items and take them to the festival for you!
#2 It's too far.
From Oxford to Wood at Braziers Park is 20 miles.
#3 That's still too far.
You can take a train from Oxford Station to Goring with your bike and then cycle from Goring to Wood. The distance from Goring to Wood is only 3.6 miles.
For train timetables please click here
#4 I don't like to cycle on busy roads.
Dan from the Oxford Cycle Workshop has plotted out a really nice scenic trip from Oxford to Wood that avoids major roads. A team from Oxford Cycle Workshop will ride with the group to Wood. Dan has also plotted out a route from Goring to Wood and he should know, he has done many rides in that area. For a view of the routes to wood please click on the links below:

#5 I don't want a free pint when I arrive.
We can't help you there, when you can choose from a nice pint of Cotswold Lager, Upton's Cider or Real Ale from Butts Brewery, all from local brewers, I don't know how you could possibly say no!
