Boxford Dance Arena
This year’s expansion of the Boxford Dance Stage will ensure festival goers a good time long into the night. With a whole host of genres that include techno, disco, drum & bass, dubstep, dub, reggae, ambient, funk, electro, breakbeat, Boxford will be party central throughout the July weekend.
In recent years Electronica has become a tour de force within the Oxford Music scene. Truck is a festival designed to cover all tastes and styles. Boxford’s electronic extravaganza was created to evoke and further the festival vibe and allow the weekend long party to continue long into the night.
The 2011 expansion comes fully equipped with cocktail lounge, café, skate/BMX ramp, fairground rides, fancy dress stall and graffiti expo alongside 90 hours of music spanning the 3 days. From Dubstep, dancehall and disco to house, techno and electronica, this year Boxford will provide music for the young fresh raver to the golden oldie with glow sticks in hand. Oxford’s finest dance night Get Your Geek On, will be in attendance this year courtesy of Simple Productions.
Acts already confirmed are; Angie Walters, Dub Politics, Dave Charris & B’ill, Random Character, Kostas G, Loudat, Cubiq, Si Roche, Si Yates plus a host of DJ’s and artists. The stage will be open for ravers to revel long into the wee hours of Friday, Saturday and Sunday morning. This year’s expansion is testament to Truck’s success and a platform for local and international artists to share their talents with Oxford’s dedicated music lovers.
