It's just over 3 weeks til TRUCK 13 (July 23rd-25th), which is to be held as ever at Hill Farm, Steventon. No doubt you already have your tickets. Still, would you believe it, there are people out there who don't yet know about the festival!
We need YOU to help spread the word and tell your friends and family about "the godfather of the UK's small festival scene" and make an extra £5 (yes A FIVER!) per ticket for good causes, or for your own beer fund - it's up to you.
We've teamed up with the cheeky champs at Fatsoma to come up with a way to raise money for 2 small charities we really believe in: Mali Development Group, Love Zimbabwe, and one big one we all know and love: OXFAM.
Should your friends need convincing to come join you at TRUCK festival, we've saved them a fiver too by REMOVING THE BOOKING FEE. Sounds like a win-win situation to us!
All you have to do to is follow this link, create yourself a Profile, and invite your friends, family, neighbours, schoolfriends and casual acquaintances to come join you at the world-famous TRUCK festival!
You know what to do: get clicking!
Love from all of us at the Batcave x
So, what do I do again?
> Head to http://www.fatsoma.com/c2586
> Set up a rep profile - this takes 2 minutes max
> From the 'event' menu select the event ' Truck festival' to rep
You will now have your own profile at www.fatsoma.com/yourusername/
> In the 'dashboard' you'll see your Upcoming Events; click 'Promote this'
> you will be given a unique URL for the event. Select and copy it.
You are now ready to post this link everywhere: Email, Facebook and message your friends, family and workmates, post this link on their Wall. Tweet it, blog it, Myspace it, you name it.
You could even create your very own Truck Facebook event and invite all your friends. With a few clicks you'll be making money for your chosen charity or your beer fund.
You can log in to your Fatsoma account at any time to see how many tickets have sold via your link! Your friends will be sent tickets as normal if they buy them before July 15th, otherwise they will be on a gate list.
You'll get an email from Fatsoma shortly after the festival asking which charity you'd like to donate the commission to, or whether you'd prefer to keep it yourself. It's entirely up to you, though obviously we suggest you donate the money to these fantastic, hard-working charities.
MORE ABOUT THIS YEAR'S CHARITIES:
Mali Development Group
Every year since 2005 Truck has supported the Mali Development Group Peer Educators project in Bamako, Mali’s capital city. This has been a vital contribution to the creation of a service for young people operated by young people in one of the Africa’s poorest countries. Commenting on Truck’s continuing support John Hedge, MDG Secretary said: "Truck has been our most committed and loyal supporter. Without their help we could not have funded the project. Truck sets a fantastic example to other festivals in its generosity. Mali is a nation which loves music and music is everywhere you go in the country, so it’s great for us to have the music connection with Truck as well."

Love Zimbabwe
Martha Musonza Holman and her husband David Holman are responsible for setting up and supporting a number of projects in communities around Zimbabwe; facilities for the local people to produce arts and crafts for sale, earning themselves a living and expressing amazing creativity and talent. They are currently working on a bore hole project based in Dombashawa, north east of Harare. This area is very dry (Zimbabwe has had drought for 4 years), and badly needs water. The ground is very rocky and is close to the ancient caves where paintings of early bushmen still exist.
