how oh how do we get to play Truck? I have tried to get on the bill of Truck fest for several yrs with zero success.The website used to have a line on it like 'don’t bother asking to play, because if you are good we will find you etc' i.e. don’t call us.  Each time I have asked to play it has been as much as a year to go to the next fest or at least plenty of time before the bands are announced, but always the slots are full and the schedule is we are told fixed. I have been coming to Truck as a punter for several years now any really love it, its local, its great for the area and its got a really nice vibe to it, so I will be coming again and giving my support this year, only wish I could be given the chance to play that’s all. I realise that even if I get to play it may not change anything for and also not everyone will like it, but that is the same with all the bands and artists as you all know. Some of the bands I saw in previous years would not have been to everyone’s taste without a doubt, but I know this is just opinion and not worthy of discussion as everyone is deserved of their chance to play. All I would like to know is how does it work Truckers? As I will find it hard to believe all bands have been confirmed and allocated a spot for July already with no room to give a local act like your own Goldrush a chance to reach a wider audience?
