This year Truck will be partnering with BBC Oxford Introducing showcasing some of the best bands Oxford has to offer. Truck has always been at the centre of home grown talent and we are pleased to announce a roster of cutting edge rising stars.
BBC Introducing is a nationwide initiative that aims to propel young talent to the national stage. For years BBC Oxford presenter Dave Gilyeat has been showcasing local up and coming artists on his weekly radio show. Dave and his team of contributors have remained dedicated to Oxford’s music scene and this year we are proud to be working alongside likeminded individuals to support the best bands from the county. Bands such as Stornoway, Bombay Bicycle Club and Tom Williams and the Boat to name a few have all gained worldwide success from the Introducing scheme and it continues to introduce cutting edge artists to the rest of the world.
This year the BBC Introducing stage will be featuring some of the best bands both new and old. A total of 11 acts will be playing on Friday with Oxford newcomers The Neon Violets kicking off at 16:30
Truck is elated to announce the return of The Rock of Travolta as they are set to headline the BBC Introducing stage. After a ten year absence from Truck, the Oxford five piece are back with their brand spanking new album ‘Fine Lines’. The band has remained synonymous for being at the epicentre of Oxford’s music scene and can boast a wealth of experience.
